I rode my Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE from Sweden to Spain, taking the ferry to Poland and riding through Central Europe before crossing northern Italy to Genoa. From there, I took the ferry to Barcelona and rode on to Málaga. I filmed the trip along the way, including the roads I stumbled across and the luggage problem I had to sort out in Austria.

The route
I took the ferry from Karlskrona (Sweden) to Gdynia (Poland), then rode south through Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Austria. In Italy, I stopped at Lake Garda before crossing the mountains to Genoa. From there, I took the ferry to Barcelona and rode the last stretch down to Málaga.
What I learned on the road
In Hungary, I noticed my Mosko Moto Reckless 80 had started to melt where it touched the extra heat shield I’d fitted. The stock shield got very hot too, but the bag was fine there. In Villach, Austria, I fitted another shield on top of the first add-on shield. Next time, I’ll check the clearance with the bags fully loaded.
